You can see how useful those laser cut words would be for scrapbook pages, but if you haven’t been convinced from some of my previous posts on Memories & More cards creating easy & beautiful greeting cards, perhaps today’s samples will convince you.

The first is just the Memories & More cards with added cardstock of my choice. Simply using the Memories & More cards can produce great results. I used a 4”x6” Petal Passion Memories & More Card with the “You are my sunshine” sentiment, trimmed on both ends of the 6” side to fit my card front. (Final size=4”x5.25”). The flower is a 3”x4” Card in the pack. A black mat, 4 1/8”x 5 3/8”, helped ground the cards onto the Crushed Curry card base- perfect for a “sunshine” card!

Card two also uses a 4”x6” & 3”x4” Card from the same pack. This time the larger card is trimmed on the long edge to 5.5” and the “To think of you is to smile” sentiment is cutout using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and my Big Shot. A small black cardstock banner helps pop the sentiment so it doesn’t get lost as white on white.Stampin’ Up! Petal Passion Memories & More Card

Today’s last Card adds just a few more products, the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder (for use with your Big Shot), the Graceful Garden Stamp set (the rose),  Black Momento ink to stamp, Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive Blends in both Light & Dark, & the Blends Blender. The “love Big & love much” is a 3”x4” Card In The Petal Passion Memories & More pack. After coloring the rose, I cut it out. It was kind of fussy cutting around the leaves, so I cut them from the stem first to make it easier. Then just glued down in relatively the same place they were.

You can see how the Black & White cards in this pack allow you to get creative with a pop of color of your own choosing. I really love that rose!(The Little Prince fans, anyone?)

When I get a new pack of Memories & More cards, the first thing I do is divide the card in half. I reserve half for my scrapbooking projects and half for card making projects. The embellishments and any acetate overlays get placed with the scrapbook pile, but often get used for both uses. This way, I still scrap with them and get greeting cards too. I rarely have but a few leftover cards in each pack, and find they make awesome note cards too!

I’d love to know what you think of the Memories & More cards and how you are using them. Drop me a comment.

Until next time…

-Joanne
