At Home with You bundle by Stampin’ UP!

When I saw the At Home with You bundle (photopolymer stamps & framelits/dies) I was very excited about the versatility of this set. Check out the items in the bundle (bundle photo supplied by the SU! online store):

There are many exciting things about this bundle, but at the top of the list is a Framelit which allows the door to open so that a hidden message may be revealed when the recipient opens the door.  How fun is that?!

I also believe this set is so useful to have for the seasonal pieces alone.  They can be used as stand alone pieces to embellish other cards, home decor, scrapbook items or can be used to embellish the entryway door as seen in this card:

On this card I did not cut the door to open. Instead I decided to use the Brick Wall embossing folder with the new Wood Textures paper for the porch, score lines to mimic siding, and add a roof with 1/2″ black strips which were angle cut on the ends.  I even added a house number on the small sign from the set to mark the house number for my card recipient’s new home.

The same set creates such a great Christmas card. The door opens to provide a hidden sentiment on the front of this card.  I think a simple “Merry Christmas” will do since the inside will contain more wishes for the season.

See that garland hanging over the door?  Do you have these Hearth & Home thinlit dies which create a window? Guess what? The garland from this At Home with You set fits over the window. How great is it when one set extends the life of another!

Are you excited about this set or just want to check out more products from the new catalog?  You can check out the entire line of products at the online store HERE…and if something calls your name, you can order online and it will be shipped direct to the address you supply. I’ll then celebrate (happy dance time!) that you chose me as your demonstrator and send you a card & small surprise to the address you supplied in your order to say, “thank you.”

Until next time…

A quick Super Moon card with the Spooky Fun Photopolymer Bundle

Last night’s Super Moon pictures are all over the news and internet.  That moon sure was impressive!

I made this quick card a few weeks ago and just found a reason to send it thanks to that super moon! I thought I’d make a quick post before I sent it off to a friend.

The quick & easy details:

  • On watercolor paper I did a quick wash to create the background with Marina Mist & just a hint of Wisteria Wonder using a large paintbrush & water to thin and add the color.
  • The pumpkins were stamped & colored with the Pumpkin Pie & Old Olive Markers.  I made two and cut apart the second to add dimensionals to the back of pumpkin 2 & 4 (Left to right) and also add a longer patch (normally there are only three in the line).
  • Simple hand drawn birds added to the sky add interest and also capture the reality of living in Pennsylvania.  It is that time of year for birds to migrate south for winter.
  • The moon is the large circle from the Owl builder punch; punched in Peekaboo Peach and then given some ink of the same color applied with a dauber.
  • The tree & fence are die cuts from the Spooky Fun Bundle.
  • This was all attached to a Marina Mist card base and a white insert area was added inside to include my hand written note.

I hope you got a chance to see the moon in real life last night.  If not, check out some online pics.  You won’t be disappointed!

Thanks for taking a peek at my quick card.

Until next time…
