The Falling In Love DSP which is available in the Stampin’ Up! 2017 Occasions catalog has some great designs for cards and scrapbook pages alike.
Today, I’m sharing a simple scrapbook layout with the floral Rich Razzleberry pattern which comes in this 12″x12″ Falling In Love paper pack.
On the page above, I simply cut 5 Rich Razzleberry card stock pieces at 4.25″x4.25″ and spaced 4 of them 1/4″ from sides; centering the last as a center diamond. This leaves space for 5 4″x4″ photos, or as I did here- an embellishment with the Jar of Love stamps & dies in the center.
Since you typically get 2 of each pattern in a pack of DSP (unless it is a specialty paper), it makes it easy to do double page layouts using the DSP as the background paper.
Using DSP as your background paper provides interest and can provide texture too, depending on the paper.
As you see in the second page of the layout, I continued with the Jar of Love products on a Stitched Shapes Framelits Oval to create the area which will hold a title/journal area. The photo mats for this page are 4.25″x6.25″ and 3.25″x4.25″. These mats are spaced 1/2″ from sides and each other.
These pages went together quickly for me. It did help that I had previously stamped and cut the Jar of Love materials when I was working on another project.
The design for these pages creates easy layout template where many other patterned papers and stamp/die sets could be substituted to make another theme. Try substituting the Falling In Love DSP for the Urban Underground DSP and the Jar of Love items for the Build It tools. Do both layouts & add photos and check Mother’s Day and Father’s Day off your list!
Until next time…
