Party Pandas Celebrate

Now that Sale-a-bration (SAB) is underway, you may have seen the cute Party Pandas set which you can earn for free with qualifying orders of $50.00 USD.

Today, I’m going to share a few cards I made using these adorable pandas for some people I know who are celebrating this week.

Party Pandas celebrate 48

These Pandas can be used to celebrate many things when paired with other sets you may own already own, plan to purchase, or earn during Stampin’ Up’s Sale-a-bration period.

In the card above I cut the balloon from the one panda’s hand so that he may hold onto the die cut number 8. Yes, even 48 year olds like cute little Pandas for their Birthday Card!

The inside of the card uses the Amazing You SAB set and the Alphabet Labeller set from the annual catalog (A perfect set to create any word or phrase you want.) Below that Happy Birthday I used the Labeller Alphabet to Stamp the recipient’s name for a personal touch- Not sure she wanted that publicized, so I omitted it from the photo.

Celebrate You Party Pandas

Are you unsure  about spending $100.00 USD to earn the level 2 SAB freebies? Take a look at those dies…celebrate, you, amazing…they are great! You can see the size of the Celebrate & You above. I’ll be sharing more in the future which will show you the “amazing” as well. It is a nice die set, for sure. Big enough for a scrapbook page too!  Since it coordinates with the Amazing You SAB Stamp set, you can really increase use with both.

The best thing about the cards above is how simple they are to make. Really simple. The stamps & dies do most of your work. Yes, I fussy cut (hand cut with scissors) the panda images & even all of those balloons, but truly that was simple cutting.

Totally cute cards. Totally simple to do. Some happy recipients. What’s not to love about that?!

Until next time…

Sale-a-bration: post holiday excitement

Does the passing of the holiday seem like an excitement let down? I hope everyone enjoyed their celebration(s).  January is often a hard time of year for many, especially if you live in a cold climate, experience less daylight, and generally don’t like snow (shoveling or driving in it especially). Well, I’m here to tell you Stampin’ Up! thinks of the crafter with post holiday blues to provide excitement for those days in the form of Sale-a-bration. It is the best time of the year to buy, because you’ll get to select FREE with purchase exclusive stamps, paper, ribbons, and this year even dies!

Check out this beautiful Stamp set which can be yours with purchase of $50.00 USD or more between January 3, 2018-March 31, 2018.

Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Blooms

The sentiments are so beautiful in this set.

I couldn’t decide if I wanted to try super simple or a stepped up card. So, today I provide both.

Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Blooms

This first card couldn’t be simpler. The image and sentiment are stamped in Smoky Slate ink onto a Whisper White card stock mat attached to a Thick Whisper White card base. Easy, yet elegant enough for the simple heartfelt message it would convey.

Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Blooms

The second card I present today starts with the same Smoky Slate on Whisper White mat image, but I have colored the image with the watercolor pencils and blended the coloring with the Wink of Stella clear. Doing so gives it a glittered appearance, which my lighting for the photograph really seemed to over highlight in some areas. It is a subtle, but beautiful glimmer effect in person, covering the whole image which I colored. It is still a simple card to recreate, it just takes a bit more time.

Speaking of coloring, that Smoky Slate ribbon is created with the new Blends. Now you can permanently color any ribbon to any of the colors of the Stampin’ Blends. How’s that for excitement?!

So, now that you’ve seen them both, which do you prefer: Simple or Colored?

Let me know in the comments which one of these cards you would make with the Sale-a-bration set Heartfelt Blooms.

Until next time…
