Happy Holidays: A Game To Entertain

As I celebrate Christmas with family, I wanted to leave a message of thanks to everyone in my Stampin’ family and a small game for you to pass the time if you should find yourself on my blog this holiday.

The answers will be uploaded in the comments for this post by next Thursday, December 28, 2017.

That is also the day I’ll be back next week with Sneak Peek samples from products which will be released in the January 3, 2018 Occasions & Sale-A-Bration catalogs.

Until then, I send my best wishes to you and my gratitude for your presence in my life. You make my Stampin’ Up! world a better place!

Merry Christmas!

Quick Christmas Package Tags With The Scalloped Tag Topper Punch

Today I have easy tags for you to make with some scraps of paper and the Stampin’ Up! Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

It is a great project to use up any 1/2” or 3/4” strips of Designer Series Paper you have sitting about. Plus if you have strips of 2 3/4” or 3” Whisper White strips as small as 1 15/16” long, you are set.

With Christmas just over a week away I had to start wrapping & tagging the gifts, but I didn’t have any Christmas tags in my wrapping supplies. Instead of running out and getting some at the store, I was able to whip these up in about 30 minutes -clean up & sizing/design included!

I started with one strip of 3”x10” Whisper White Thick cardstock & two strips which were 2 3/4”x10. As long as you have a piece bigger than the final 1 15/16” long Tag you are fine.

I placed Designer Series Paper as shown in the diagram before I cut to the smaller tag size. Doing this as a full piece saved me a little time. Once at this stage, I cut each to the 1 15/16” length and then punched the largest white end using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

From this point, I The stamped to/from from Cookie Cutter Christmas and added some ribbon.  Of course, you could also just hand write the to/from & use packaging Christmas ribbon if you’re in a pinch and have them on hand.

I didn’t have to run to the store AND I used up some scraps I had on hand.    Now, when I need tags for other occasions I’ve already figured out the sizing and will easily be able to tag any party gift by just switching out the Designer Series Paper to fit the occasion. Thank you Scalloped Tag Topper Punch!

I hope this helps you during times you need tags. Especially Christmas Eve when many of you are up all night wrapping gifts!

Until next time…

Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Chums Holiday Cards

Today I’m sharing with you cards created with the darling deer & snowman from the Seasonal Chums Stamp & die bundle by Stampin’ Up!

Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Chums

There are quite a few pieces to cut for this card, but it really goes quite quickly. Okay, coloring the Seasnal Chums characters takes a bit of time. Perhaps a good activity to do while watching television, waiting at appointments, or even a family friendly holiday craft for your child(ren) to participate and add to the family Christmas card or Christmas thank you card!

Those Foil snowflakes are not sticking around past the holiday catalog. You’ll want to SHOP NOW if you really want them. Once they are gone, they are gone.

I know you’ll want the measurements for for this card. It will be a great starting point for other Cardstock & Designer Series Papers. Here it is:

While we just got news Seasonal Chums items will be offered as a carry over from the holiday catalog (meaning the stamps & dies will be around until May 2018, but are not guaranteed to be in the next annual catalog in June), if you like them getting them as a bundle now saves you 10%! Bundle price discounts do not carry on beyond the original catalog release publication.

Shop with me HERE.

Enter the hostess code E9C33N4F during your order (Code good thru December 2017) and I will personally send you a thank you in the mail which will include a few Designer Series  paper samples from the 2018 Occasions catalog.

As always, thank you for stopping by.

Until next time…

Happy Thanksgiving Gratitude Chocolate Gifts

Chances are if you saw me the last two days you received a gratitude chocolate from me. These simple to make chocolate wrappers make a bag of circular dollar tree candy (crisped rice or peppermint patties) into a quick place setting or hand out.

While I handed out a bunch of these chocolates individually to various people with whom I came in contact, this mini football (also found at dollar tree in pack of 2) was the carrier for ones I took to an appointment I had- the office staff is so kind, I like to recognize that!

DIRECTIONS:

1) Using your chocolate, determine the size of the Layering Circle which will be big enough to cover it. This will be your solid circle.

2) Then determine the scalloped die in the Layered Circles framelits which will frame your circle from step one nicely. You will make 2 of these for every 1 of the solid circles (unless you want designs on both sides).

3) Attach your scalloped circles to both sides of your wrapped chocolate using glue dots.

4) Attach solid circle to top of the scalloped circle.

5) Choose your decoration(s). I used the Colorful Seasons leaves, but you could do different colors and definitely make these for ANY OCCASION!  Try snowflakes or hearts,  use punches for flowers, gingerbread, Holly, or a multitude of critters with the fox punch.

6) Teeny Tiny Wishes has a saying for most holidays. I stamped that in Momento ink and punched with a retired label punch ( there are current punches and dies which will also work well- I was in a rush and still love this punch.

7) Add a twine bow with a glue dot, if desired.

That is it! I said they were simple.

And they brought many a smile to unsuspecting people. The guy collecting Goodwill donations gave me the biggest grin when I dropped off a bag of stuff and asked if he’d like a chocolate gift. That doctor’s office is counting the days until my next visit- which happens to be on St. Nicholas day, December 6th.  I’m wondering if they know appointments around holidays mean little gifts? They are excited to see what I come up with next. They smile, I smile. Life is good.

Have a great day!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Until next time…

Shop Now from the Stampin’ UP! Holiday Catalog

Any crafter knows that when it comes to handmade items for the holiday season, you must shop and get started creating early to get things done on time and so you do not feel frazzled last minute.

If you love Stampin’ UP! products and create your own holiday cards, gift packaging, or enjoy saving your photos in beautiful Scrapbook pages, then September 1st was a day of joy seeing the new items which you can now purchase for your holiday creations.

Last Thursday, I shared a few card samples with the Christmas Quilt Bundle from the holiday catalog which made the top of my list.  As I mentioned, this set can be played with for hours, never creating the same design.  Today, I share a few more items I created with this Bundle.

You’ll notice a few small 3″x3″ cards.  Exciting news: the holiday catalog contains the envelopes for this size! Yippee! Once retired, now returned for the holiday (and one can hope/dream beyond) catalog.  This size is perfect for gift bags and packages or even lunch box notes.

There are also some very cute Pizza Boxes in which the 3″x3″ size cards & envelopes will fit. The sample below was decorated with a bit of Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper, matching card stock, a tree stamped & cut with the Christmas Quilt bundle & a small tag from the Bunch of Banners dies.

The inside of these boxes is food grade gloss-lined. They would easily hold a cookie or chocolates, or perhaps a bracelet or other jewelry, but they also quite nicely contain some of the 3″x3″ cards and envelopes seen above. Design them to match a roll of wrapping paper and you have the perfect gift for an early December gift exchange.

Before you know it the holidays will arrive and you’ll wish you started creating things just a little earlier. Get started now so you can get it all done. Plus, avoid that frazzled feeling that inevitably occurs as we wait to long to start that holiday craft project.

A Fox Punch Merry Christmas

My last daily punch art share before I take a break to enjoy the Christmas holiday is this little pine tree.

The finished tree is only a little over 1″ tall.

I made an adorable mantel scene with this tree and some other cute holiday items to adorn it (all Fox Builder Punch Art items), but due to my recent health issues I didn’t finish the tutorials or photographs for mantel scene I created.  So, the sharing of that scene will have to wait for some future date.

From me to you I wanted to share my gratitude for all the support, kindness, and friendship you all have shared this year as I’ve launched this blog and then proceeded to increasingly struggle with ongoing health issues which have prevented me from making this blog everything I wanted.  Stampin’ Up! recently  had a stamp that said, “Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful” and I so agree. Crafting creates happiness and meeting great people during the creative process is such a fantastic added bonus.  I appreciate each one of you!

Enjoy each moment of this week, however you may choose to celebrate the days ahead.  I’ll be back to posting after Christmas to share some layouts so you can get your Christmas photos in scrapbooks.  Plus I’ll have some cards to highlight products from the upcoming (Launching January 4, 2017) Occasions & Sale-A-Bration Catalogs.

I wish you happiness, health, & blessings.

Until next time…
