Happy Thanksgiving Gratitude Chocolate Gifts

Chances are if you saw me the last two days you received a gratitude chocolate from me. These simple to make chocolate wrappers make a bag of circular dollar tree candy (crisped rice or peppermint patties) into a quick place setting or hand out.

While I handed out a bunch of these chocolates individually to various people with whom I came in contact, this mini football (also found at dollar tree in pack of 2) was the carrier for ones I took to an appointment I had- the office staff is so kind, I like to recognize that!

DIRECTIONS:

1) Using your chocolate, determine the size of the Layering Circle which will be big enough to cover it. This will be your solid circle.

2) Then determine the scalloped die in the Layered Circles framelits which will frame your circle from step one nicely. You will make 2 of these for every 1 of the solid circles (unless you want designs on both sides).

3) Attach your scalloped circles to both sides of your wrapped chocolate using glue dots.

4) Attach solid circle to top of the scalloped circle.

5) Choose your decoration(s). I used the Colorful Seasons leaves, but you could do different colors and definitely make these for ANY OCCASION!  Try snowflakes or hearts,  use punches for flowers, gingerbread, Holly, or a multitude of critters with the fox punch.

6) Teeny Tiny Wishes has a saying for most holidays. I stamped that in Momento ink and punched with a retired label punch ( there are current punches and dies which will also work well- I was in a rush and still love this punch.

7) Add a twine bow with a glue dot, if desired.

That is it! I said they were simple.

And they brought many a smile to unsuspecting people. The guy collecting Goodwill donations gave me the biggest grin when I dropped off a bag of stuff and asked if he’d like a chocolate gift. That doctor’s office is counting the days until my next visit- which happens to be on St. Nicholas day, December 6th.  I’m wondering if they know appointments around holidays mean little gifts? They are excited to see what I come up with next. They smile, I smile. Life is good.

Have a great day!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Until next time…

It’s official: My One Year Blogiversary AND A Contest!

Who’s having a one year blogiversary?

I am! I am! Yippee!

My official launch of this blog was one year ago today! How time flies. It seems like just yesterday that I posted a punch art photo and got asked, “Why don’t you have a blog?” After a month of planning and a lot of learning and many bumps along the way, I launched this craftymademoiselle blog.

Thank you to all who visit and especially to those who comment. I love hearing from everyone.

I wish to say a huge thank you anyone who was or is ordering from me & a special hello to my down line. You keep me going! Without you I am just a woman with a paper craft hobby who is absolutely crazy about Stampin’ Up!

There are still so many things that I want to accomplish with this blog.  I’m learning as I go and have struggled getting my punch art downloads page and downloadable items to work properly. Once I was almost there and was hacked! A big reminder that this is the internet where some people are not living with a kindness motto. I had to delete much of that body of work and start over. Then my dear friend the Stampin’ Up! Owl punch was retired/discontinued. RIP, my friend. I still love you. Please never break on me. I will accomplish that download page. I’m just not sure the time frame. I’m thoroughly disappointed it is still not ready and working properly at this one year mark. Thanks for being oh so patient during these learning/growing pains.

Now to celebrate my blogiversary with what started it all…punch art!

The how to for the cute owl hanging out in the Sprinkles of Life tree above. Check it out:

*Note: Delightful Dijon (an In-color 2015-2017) was retired.  Try using Crushed Curry.  Also, if you need a replacement for the 3/8″/Owl punch circle or even the 1/8″, the Circles on the Cookie Cutter Builder punch work well.

Blogiversary Contest:

As a special One Year Blogiversary Celebration, comment on this blog post today thru noon EST World Card Day (Saturday, October 7, 2017) and you will be entered (one entry per person) to win this Owl card and a free surprise (Stampin’ Up! product) in the mail.  The winner will be chosen by random using random.org and announced Sunday at noon EST. Upon announcement the winner will be required to contact me within 48hrs to claim their prize and provide their mailing address so that the card + surprise can be mailed out on October 11. If this person fails to contact me with their address within those 48hrs, the card/surprise is forfeited.

Thanks for celebrating my blog year with me today!

Until next time…

-Joanne
